6.0L Power Stroke. Bad News????

So is the 6.0 a bad choice for my first truck. My bf has a 7.3 and I really like it but I want something a little newer. All I hear is bad things about these trucks. Help please

Strokergirl, here is a great link with some general info. The 6.0s have been known to be temperamental but at the same time they are supposedly a better performer, stock, than the 7.3.

I love my 6.0, yes when they were first introduced they had some problems from being rushed into production. The only real problem years were 03 to 04. 04.5 and up they had most the problems worked out and with proper maintance they are just as reliable as anything else! Most common problems on the 6.0 is leaking head gaskets and bad EGR system, just delete the EGR and thats one problem gone. Hope this helps, any questions just ask!
